Without music, life would be a mistake.

Here we are. Here and now. That's all there is. Later never exists.

You are the world and the world is you. The world is not separate from you and me. Therefore you have a tremendous responsibility. You must understand the whole of life, not just one little part of it, and realize this fundamentally, deeply, not romantically, not intellectually, but actually. That is why you must read, that is why you must look at the skies, that is why you must sing, and dance, and write poems, and suffer, and understand. For all that is life.

Lean toward love at all times, cut people slack, forgive and forget, and be kind, very kind; the more you do that, the less fear you will have. Refuse to be scared in this lifetime.

Be different - without concern for what others think.

All of us, whether or not we are warriors, have a cubic centimeter of chance that pops out in front of your eyes from time to time. You must be alert, deliberately aware of this, so that when your cubic centimeter pops out, you will be ready to grab it.

All truths wait in all things.

Above all don't lie to yourselves. The people who lie to themselves and listen to their own lies, come to a point that they cannot distinguish the truth within themselves, and lose all respect for themselves and for others. And having no respect they cease to love.

Listen. Can you hear it? The music? I can hear it everywhere. In the wind...in the air...in the light. It's all around us. All you have to do is open yourself up. The music is all around us. All you have to do is listen.
